Im Gegensatz zu ihrem sehr schwachen Debutalbum kommt Kick Axe' neuestes Werk schon um einiges besser - was aber langst noch nicht bedeutet, dass es gut gefallt. Denn die kommerziel orientierten Kanadier bestechen zwar teilweise durch gute Melodien mit einem gewissen Schuss Harte, so beispielweise auf "Hellraisers", dann aber schmettern sie einem wahrhaft grausame Kinderlieder an den Kopf ("Make Your Move").
Trotzdem sei eine kleines Kompliment nach Kanada geschickt: Die Coverversion des Beatles- und Joe Cocker-Klassikers "With A Little Help From My Friends" ist einsame Spitzenklasse! Gesangliche unterstutung haben sich die Kick Axe-Boys dabei durch Rik Emmett, Lee Aaron, John Albani, Alfie Zappacosta, Bob Segarini und viele andere kanadische Top-Cracks fur diese Nummer gesichert, die einfach vom Feinsten ist.
Mit zugekniffenem Auge gibt's fur den Willkommensgruss im Club eine Knappe. (3)
In contrast to its very weak debut album, Kick Axe's newest work is already much better - but that does not mean that it pleases. Because the commercial-oriented Canadians bribe some of good melodies with a certain hard shot, for example on "Hellraisers", but then they smash a truly cruel children's songs to the head ("Make Your Move").
Nevertheless, a small compliment to Canada sent: the cover version of the Beatles and Joe Cocker classic "With A Little Help From My Friends" is lonely top class! Vocal support has been provided by Rik Emmett, Lee Aaron, John Albani, Alfie Zappacosta, Bob Segarini and many other top Canadian riders for this number, which is simply the finest.
With a squinted eye, there's a squire for the welcome to the club. (3)
