On The Road To Rock".

A record of months in the latest issue of HARD-ROCK MAGAZINE, "Vices" is the debut album - produced by Spencer "Quiet Riot" Proffer - by Kick Axe, a Canadian band that is starting to make serious talk about it. In, HARD-ROCK MAGAZINE, for example...

Unknown a few months ago, Kick Axe burst into the open with "Vices", a remarkable album, produced by Spencer Proffer, the producer of Quiot Riot. And, unlike Kevin DuBrow's band, Spencer Proffer did not get Kick Axe from Slade or another tube mine back... Apparently, he trusts the band's own abilities to bring him to success. When listening to the disc, you can only approve it. Moreover, Judas Priest, renowned for the quality of its opening acts, did not hesitate to take Kick Axe during its last American tour. A reference.

If Kick Axe is only in its first album, the group itself has existed since... eight years. "We've known each other since school," says Brian Gillstrom, the group leader. "Only our singer, George Criston, is new to the band". Kick Axe is a close-knit group, which has had the time to acquire a solid experience and write no less than seventy-five original titles. No problem for future albums...

Kick Axe has rowed for years until the day they sent to Spencer Proffer a tape where appeared the titles "Heavy Metal Shuffle" and "On The Road To Rock". Very interested, the producer flew to see them play. "The concert took place in a real gambling hall in Alberta - Brian remembers - but the show was good, and in the end, Spencer offered us a contract, so we stuffed our van and we went straight to Los Angeles!"

Kick Axe then enter the studio with Spencer Proffer and, immediately, everything sticks between the producer and the group. "It is really nice to work with Spencer. He is really a great guy, who has fishing and is therefore very creative", says Brian, adding, "I am sure that we were destined to meet."

In short, the perfect match essential for a perfect album. While "Vices" is rising in the charts around the world, we just have to wait to see Kick Axe on a stage. An appointment not to be missed!
