The members of Kick Axe were introduced as "Winnipeg's adopted sons" and responded to the celebrative quality of the occasion with a rousing set of the best cuts from their groundbreaking debut release. Lead singer George Criston appeared overjoyed by the hero's welcome and headliner's response given them by an almost partisan crowd. On the other hand, let's hope no one was cheering for the band's sound man, who nearly ruined a triumphant homecoming.
