THERE'S gonna be a whole lotta rockin' at Club Soda tonight, but this jam ain't for milquetoasts. It's billed as a Wednesday Night Garage Jam and organizer Vic Langen hopes it's the beginning of a regular mid-week gig that will attract the best rockers in town. |
"There's a real need for a genuine jam in Vancouver," says Langen, former bass player with hard-rockers Kick Axe. "It'll be a great chance for musicians to exchange fresh ideas and the audience to hear some great sounds." |
Among others slated for tonight's 11 p.m. thrash are local rockers Larry Gillstrom, Mark Ash, Stick, Kirsten Nash and David Steele. Langen has his fingers crossed that some out-of-town-cats recording locally will also drop by. As well, the jam is open to all reputable musicians, but Langen asks, please bring your own guitars. |
