Kick Axe, a heavy metal band from Regina that's been kicking around Western Canada for 10 years, has been confirmed as Judas Priest's warm-up band for its coming U.S. tour. "This band is really going places," says Marian Donnelly of Star Kommand Productions. She says its first record, Vices, released last month, is getting good reviews from U.S. magazines. Its label is CBS. The U.S. tour with Priest kicks off June 26 in North Carolina.

Kick Axe, the Western band which includes some Regina personnel, is making an impact with a new album, Vices, and the big news is they're going to work an American tour with heavy metalists Judas Priest. The tour starts in North Carolina on June 26 and continues until the third week in August, including some key markets like Miami, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
