Das kanadische Quartett Kick Axe lieferte in den fruhen Achtzigern drei exzellente Alben ab und ging als eine der unterbewertetsten Bands dieser Epoche in die Geschichte ein. Trotz brillanter Alben wie 'Welcome To The Club' oder 'Rock The World' blieb der Bekanntheitsgrad auf heimische Gefilde beschrankt, und das Ende der Band war die logische Folge. Jetzt liegt mit 'Natural Progression' ein frisches Album der ehemaligen Kick Axe-Kampen George Criston (v.) und Roy Harvey (g.) vor. Das Werk bietet einen bunten Cocktail aus Hardrock-, Blues-, Country- und Gospel-Elementen, der nur in Ansatzen an glorreiche Tage erinnert. CRISTON/HARVEY fahren namlich nicht auf der Hardrock-Schiene, sondern liefern ein abwechslungsreiches und interessantes AOR-Album ab. Hohepunkte des Silberlings sind der gute Einsteiger 'Modern Day Outlaw', das stimmige 'Jesus Is Just Alright' und die beiden Versionen von 'Lonely Road' (einmal mit voller Band und als Bonus als Akustikversion). Wer also ein Gespur fur Rockmusik hat, ist mit 'Natural Progression' gut beraten. Zu beziehen ist das Teil uber Rising Sun, Rosenstr. 5, 25557 Gokels.

Despite brilliant albums such as 'Welcome To The Club' or 'Rock The World', the awareness was limited to domestic realms, and the end of the band was the logical consequence. Now with 'Natural Progression' there is a fresh album by the former Kick Axe champion George Criston (v.) And Roy Harvey (g.). The work offers a colorful cocktail of hard rock, blues, country and gospel elements, reminiscent only of glorious days. CRISTON/HARVEY do not go on the hard rock track, but deliver a varied and interesting AOR album. Highlights of the Silverling are the good beginner 'Modern Day Outlaw', the harmonious 'Jesus Is Just Alright' and the two versions of 'Lonely Road' (once with full band and as bonus as acoustic version).
