[article]: Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll / Kick Axe planning new album
[by]:

Regina's Kick Axe saw the inroads that their first LP made on the lower reaches of Billboard's charts last winter, overshadowed by Helix's surprising scurry into the top 50 during the same period, but the band of hardrockers isn't complaining.

The self-titled album sold 5,000 copies in Japan and the single, Dreaming About You, went to the number two position on Radio Warsaw.

Which means that Kick Axe has sailed past the first checkpoint in Canada's peculiar road to stardom - get recognized outside of the country. The band is now recording their second Lp in Los Angeles.

Kick Axe, Regina's road warriors of heavy metal rock, plan to record their second album in July in Los Angeles, with a late August release date.

Manager Gary Stratychuk of Winnipeg said Kick Axe's first album sold 5,000 units in Japan

and won extensive radio play in both Poland and France with the single Dreaming About You.
