A band named Face to Face is the regional winner in the Trans Canada Rock talent search sponsored by the CHUM radio network (CFUN is the local affiliate). Face to Face which appears on the Vancouver Show on Monday, wins studio time to record two songs.

The songs will be included on an upcoming album to be distributed nationally by A&M. The band, selected from 127 entries from B.C. and Alberta, is a trio comprising brothers Don and Larry Thompson (formerly of the Wiggie Symphony) and Gary Langen (the founder and former drummer/lead vocalist with Kick Axe).

CFUN will broadcast a one-hour feature showcasing each of the regional winners from across Canada on Saturday at 8 p.m. The national winner - the prize is 100 hours of recording time - will be announced then.
