Stallion (Casablanca) is a band that has been touted as "the new sound of the West", and while the record has some pleasant moments, their brand of synthesised country-rock doesn't always work.

Far from musical geldings, Stallion has a way to go before they attain "noble steed" status.

The album, however, is a pleasant surprise from a label whose ususal fare is Kiss, or Donna Summer.
