THERE'S gonna be a whole lotta rockin' at Club Soda tonight, but this jam ain't for milquetoasts.
It's billed as a Wednesday Night Garage Jam and organizer Vic Langen hopes it's the beginning of a regular mid-week gig that will attract the best rockers in town.
"There's a real need for a genuine jam in Vancouver," says Langen, former bass player with hard-rockers Kick Axe.
"It'll be a great chance for musicians to exchange fresh ideas and the audience to hear some great sounds."
Among others slated for tonight's 11 p.m. thrash are local rockers Larry Gillstrom, Mark Ash, Stick, Kirsten Nash and David Steele.
Langen has his fingers crossed that some out-of-town-cats recording locally will also drop by.
As well, the jam is open to all reputable musicians, but Langen asks, please bring your own guitars.
